You ever feel like people don't really care how you're doing when they ask "How are you doing?" Yeah, me too. It doesn't really matter though, at the end of the day. It just is proof of how selfish we are as humans. It's comical to me and sad at the very same time. When was the last time that you made space in your schedule to listen to someone else and love on them, even though it was of no benefit to you.
It's even worse when you ask someone how they're doing and they hit you with the "I'm blessed and highly favored, thank you Jesus," but inside they are crumbling and you know it. I agree that you are blessed, but don't hide behind that phrase forever. God accepts us for who we are and where we are, but will always call us higher. The Holy Spirit doesn't live in denial, but doesn't live in doubt either. So if it's rough, talk about it, but that doesn't mean wallow in it. You get what I mean. Let's get free!
So this is a song from my more humorous side about how I should respond when people with devilish intentions ask me how I'm doing. I'm "Blessed, Glory, Hallelujah."
